Smolare waterfall is declared as a national monument. The manner, mode of operation and maintenance of the same is fully regulated and entered in the Travel Guide of Great Britain, which means attendance is not only by domestic but also by tourists from European countries. Municipality of Novo Selo and South-East planning region made an arrangement around the area, within their capabilities and made it available to all lovers of nature and natural beauty. In order for tourists to enjoy this beauty, it is necessary to build facilities for rest and recreation that will allow full enjoyment of the blessings that nature created. As a monument in his area, special consideration is taken for preservation of the environment, especially where activities for arranging will be conducted. In the process of construction in the zone of active management exclusively natural materials (stone and wood) will be used, as it was predicted with this project. With full implementation of the activities that are planned with the project, real economic conditions for regional development will be created, because the construction of facilities for rest and recreation will allow creation of real opportunities for increasing the number of tourists. That will also increase the
opportunities for greater economic benefit for the local communities and the municipalities, and therefore greater economic regional development.
Objectives of the project:
- Development of the rural and eco-tourism;
- Improvement of the economic situation of the local communities;
- Increasing the number of tourists;
- Additional revenues in the municipal budgets;
- Improvement of the touristic offer;
- Improvement of the touristic infrastructure in the SEPR.
