Construction of part of the road between the settlements Chanaklija and Nova Maala in length of 1 km

The development of a region depends on several factors. One of the most important is the qualitative and quantitative level of construction of physical infrastructure. Every society aims at providing a higher and better living standard, which essentially means constant improvement of living conditions.

The road between Chanaklija – Nova Maala in Municipality of Vasilevo has a length of 4.02 km and falls into the category of local roads. Its construction started in 2013, and so far only 1.3 km of road is build and bridge over River Pogana. The construction of the road is not completed therefore the existing road is in very poor condition and difficult passable for motor vehicles especially in rain and snow.
With the construction of this local road the communication between the citizens of the settlements Chanaklija, Nova Maala and Dobroshinci will be improved, which together have about 670 households or about 2,450 inhabitants. This road is of particular relevance to students from Chanaklija from sixth to ninth grade, commuting to school in Nova Maala.

The completion of this road will shorten the journey of students to their schools and improve conditions of travel. On the other hand asphalting of the local road means improving of local road infrastructure at the level of the South-East region, realizing another need of the citizens, and will improve the transport of the agricultural products. It will allow citizens of these towns to be connected with the road A4 to Novo Selo border crossing and to R.Bulgaria.

It will significantly reduce the travel of citizens where instead of 20 kilometers, with the construction of this road will only travel 4 km to connect with Municipality of Bosilovo and Municipality of Berovo via regional road R-1302.

• Improving the local road infrastructure in the South-East Region;
• Improving the living conditions of citizens in the region;
• Improving the transport of agricultural products;
• Reducing travel time between the two places;
• Facilitating access to tourist sites.
