Construction of an access road to the regional shelter for homeless dogs

With this project a modern infrastructure is planned to be build for easy and fast access to the shelter for homeless animals in Municipality of Strumica. The project envisages construction of an access road in the length of 561 meters to the shelter. Also the project will enable the entrance of the shelter to be arranged with parking space and horticultural, with grass grazing, installation of benches, trash cans and tree planting.

This project has regional significance because although the shelter will be managed and financed by the Municipality of Strumica, in the future, in accordance with the legal regulations, the services of the shelter will be also available for the neighboring municipalities for a minimum fee per captured dog.

This project will contribute on the one hand to the modernization of the local infrastructure in the South-East region, increased economic development and construction of infrastructure in the existing industrial zones and on the other hand will provide quality access to the shelter for homeless animals in the Municipality of Strumica.

Project objectives:

• Construction of an access road to the regional shelter for homeless animals;
• Horticultural arrangement at the entrance of the regional shelter for homeless animals;
• Installation of urban equipment and complete improvement of the space;
• Reducing the number of injured people from stray dogs;
• Increasing the integration of the elderly and children up to 14 years in social activities.
