Short description of the project

The project aims at environmental protection and sustainable use of shared natural resources in the area of ​​cross-border cooperation and contributes to investing in green infrastructure and energy education in the cross-border region, specifically in kindergartens and preschool children.
The project concerns small-scale investments in EE and RES in kindergartens in Strumica and Kyustendil (reconstruction, procurement of equipment for “green” classrooms, construction of “green” playgrounds); implementation of a joint program for building the capacities of teachers; education of children and parents on environmental protection and sustainable use of shared natural resources, etc.

In order to carry out the reconstruction and other investment projects in kindergartens in Strumica and Kyustendil, contractors will be engaged; It is also planned to engage external experts in order to develop and implement a program for building teacher capacities, training children and parents on environmental protection and the sustainable use of shared natural resources, etc.

Results

Kindergartens in Strumica and Kyustendil are expected to become “green”, with the aim of environmental protection and sustainable use of shared natural resources and energy saving; an increase in the knowledge of kindergarten teachers, children and parents on environmental protection and sustainable use of shared natural resources in the cross-border region is expected; Cross-border networks for cooperation between kindergarten teachers, children and parents will be established.
