The South-East Region – an opportunity for new tourist adventures!

This project envisages the enrichment of tourist content and improvement of the tourist road infrastructure in the region, which tourists will be able to enjoy throughout the year.

The construction of a local road with a length of 280 m in the village of Dukatino in the Municipality of Vasilevo will provide easy access to the beautiful monastery “St. Gjorgi”, which is surrounded by natural beauties and will become an attractive place to visit not only by the local population, but also by a large number of tourists who, while visiting other monasteries in the South-East region, will also visit the monastery in the village of Dukatino. The construction of a modern road infrastructure will increase the number of tourists, and will also enable the development of other types of tourism.

In the Municipality of Novo Selo, at the tourist site of Smolarski Vodopad, the reconstruction and paving of the existing paths will be carried out, the old fence will be restored and a new fence will be installed in places where it is not installed, 1 new wooden bridge will be installed, 5 metal structures for bicycle parking will be installed, 2 traffic signs will be installed, 4 information boards, 20 trash cans and 15 assembly benches will be installed at this tourist site, which will give this place a new urban spirit.

Additionally, the existing gazebos will be reconstructed and 2 new gazebos will be installed at the Pirgo picnic area, a parking space will be marked, 5 children’s playground equipment will be installed, 1 volleyball court will be built, 1 traditional oven, 15 trash cans, 3 information boards, 5 bicycle parking structures and 1 traffic sign will be built, as well as the reconstruction and extension of the amphitheater, where tourists and local residents will be able to get a wonderful place to actively spend their free time surrounded by the pristine beauty of the Belasica Mountain.

The main objective of the project is the development of new tourist attractions, in order to attract a larger number of tourists and visitors, which will directly affect the enrichment of the tourist offer, the development of tourism in the region, and indirectly the entire economic development
