Revitalization of the road from the village of Bogorodica to the village of Stojakovo – intersection with the regional road Gevgelija-Bogdanci (second phase)

The impact of this project is of great importance for regional development because the construction of the road infrastructure will be the basis on which a number of factors of regional importance for the South-East Planning Region will be developed. With the development of a quality road network, in addition to improving the quality of transport from one settlement to another, it also means facilitating the exchange of goods, and thus the communication of the local population itself.

This project will achieve the common interests of the population of the municipalities of Gevgelija and Bogdanci, will improve the communication of citizens between the villages of Bogorodica and Stojakovo, agricultural producers who have agricultural areas in the immediate vicinity will be able to reduce transport costs and preserve the quality of agricultural products. It will also enable easier access to wholesale markets in the region and the Republic of North Macedonia, but also easier export outside the country.

The revitalization of the Bogorodica – Stojakovo road leads to the improvement of the road infrastructure in the municipalities of Gevgelija and Bogdanci and the improvement of the living conditions of the citizens in this part of the region, which enables greater economic development of the municipalities, and at the same time of the entire South-East region.

Project objectives:

• Revitalization of a road with a length of 2100 meters and a width of 5.5 meters – village of Bogorodica – village of Stojakovo – intersection with the regional road Gevgelija – Bogdanci;
• Development of road infrastructure in the South-East planning region;
• Connection and easier access to settlements in the South-East planning region.
