Affirmation of natural and cultural values ​​in the border region for better visibility and access

A tourist complex “Dinkut” was built in Gevgelija, which includes a variety of facilities and attractions for children and adults, as well as equal access for people with disabilities through the development of facilities for access to and within the tourist location itself. The project ensured the development of year-round tourism in the cross-border region, stimulated the cohesion of all population groups and built networks for business cooperation, exchange of experience and joint activities in the field of tourism, culture and ecology. The complex offered the local population and tourists a wide range of facilities for sports, relaxation and entertainment to improve the tourism potential of the region and the quality of life and socio-economic status of the local population.

The implementation of the project also included the development of a study and analysis of the natural and cultural heritage in the cross-border region Gevgelija – Bansko; creation of a basic document for the development of mobile applications; development of a website, a mobile application for tourist information and provision of information on Facebook in the field of preservation of tangible and intangible natural, historical and cultural heritage and resources in the cross-border region Gevgelija – Bansko. The project created conditions for the development of a regional communication network based on an innovative mobile application for Android and iOS, uploaded to Google Play and App Store for free download.
