Arranging the area along the coast of Dojran Lake in v. Nikolikj, Municipality of Dojran

Dojran Lake is one of the most important and most beautiful tourist destinations in the South-East planning region, so it needs to be nurtured and to invest in it for full exploitation of its potential.

Investing in the development of new tourist attractions, in this case with the project “Arranging the area along the coast of Dojran Lake in v. Nikolikj, Municipality of Dojran”, will have a positive impact on the development of the tourism in the region, which will contribute to increased economic development.

The current status of this location, which has huge potential for tourism development, is such that it is neglected and not maintained at all, and also due to insufficient care the environment is continuously destroyed. With this project, the image of this location will completely change, so that the space along the lake will be used and the area will be arranged.

Nevertheless, this project will not only impact on the tourist offer and the development of tourism, but also on the overall economic development in the South-East planning region.

Objectives of the project:

• Arranging the area along the coast in the village Nikolikj in Municipality of Dojran  will enable the enrichment of the tourist offer of the South-East Region with another site to attract visitors, both domestic and foreign tourists to stay in this populated place;
• Reviving the village Nikolikj as a tourist resort on the coast of Lake Dojran in Municipality of Dojran, which will allow providing additional revenue for the local population through providing of accommodation and offering good catering service.
