Economic development is an area of paramount importance to the Region because of the unemployment rate issue that adversely affects the overall human well-being in the Region. Municipalities are faced with many challenges when it comes to local economic development, particularly in relation to job creation and provision of support for local businesses and investments.
In order to address these issues, and increase the competitiveness of the planning regions through support of the small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship, Business Centers for support and consultative services for SMEs are formed within the eight Centers for development of the regions and their formation is based on the decision of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. Such center is established in the South-Еast planning region, within the Centre for development of the South-East planning region- Strumica. This center should improve the existing services aimed at the business sector in terms of quality (applicability and add
more value) and quantity (increased number of available services and scope of users)
Project objectives
- Establish partnership and communication between small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs, farmers and other entities;
- Establishing an efficient and effective environment at regional level to support the private sector;
- Preparation of a communication plan for implementation of the Programme for the Development of SEPR 2015-2019;
- Preparation of an interactive web portal for investment in the region;
