Construction of a local road for connecting the settlements Borievo and Koleshino – first phase

Local roads are of great importance for the regional development of planning regions, for the local economy, for attracting new investments, small businesses and agricultural activities. For that purpose, it is necessary to create conditions for development, arrangement and construction of local roads in the South-East planning region that will improve the living standard.

This project is especially important for the visitors of Koleshino waterfalls and Monospitovo Swamp which because it is difficult for them to travel to these tourist sites in different weather conditions and extends the time for traveling. The use of this road also causes problems for traders and farmers, which in turn increases transportation costs and losses due to the reduction in the quantity of trade and agricultural products.

Project objectives:

• Construction of a part of a local road v. Borievo – v. Koleshino (first phase) in the length of 2200m;
• Appropriate access of citizens to their homes, jobs, schools, agricultural areas and shopping centers;
• Improved access to tourist sites in the Belasica region;
• Facilitating the access to tourist sites.
