Construction of a sewage system for fecal wastewater in Star Dojran for st. Veljko Vlahović and part of st. Nikola Karev

Modern road and utility infrastructure is a basic prerequisite for stimulating development in the planning regions. The South-East planning region largely lacks systematic regulation of wastewater. The aim of the project is to build a sewage system for fecal wastewater in Star Dojran for “Veljko Vlahovikj” street with a length of 575.92 meters and part of “Nikola Karev” street with a length of 341.01 meters.

The biggest problem of the population on these streets is currently the lack of a sewage network for wastewater. This part of the settlement has the most weekend houses and apartments for rent, the owners of which are mostly (as much as 60%) from the South-East region. By building a sewage system for fecal wastewater for these streets, the planned collector will perform its function and distribute wastewater to the treatment plant, which will completely prevent the pollution of Dojran Lake with wastewater, which is one of the main tourist pearls of the region.

Through the construction of a sewage system in Star Dojran, the possibility of harmful impacts, of mixing groundwater caused by frequent floods with wastewater from septic tanks, from individual households in the municipality, will be reduced, and with all this the quality of groundwater, water in open drainage channels and soil quality will increase, and at the same time the quality of life of the citizens of Star Dojran will be improved.

With all this, residents and tourists will be provided with a clean environment for staying and using the many medicinal plants in Dojran Lake. With proper treatment of wastewater, their inflow into septic tanks will be prevented, and thus their inflow into the soil, streets and yards of the population will be prevented.
