Increasing the tourism potential of the municipalities of Kyustendil and Konce – a sustainable shared future

The main objective of the project was to improve accessibility to the natural heritage in the municipalities of Kyustendil and Konce in order to exploit the potential of these resources for tourism development on both sides of the cross-border region through the following activities:

– construction of transport and pedestrian access to the natural landmark “Polsca Skakavica Waterfall” – reconstruction of a municipal rural road, eco-trails and places for rest and observation – Municipality of Kyustendil and installation of urban equipment, as well as for the tourist settlement of Mantovo – construction of eco-trails and places for rest and observation – Municipality of Konce;
– implementation of thematic workshops “Appropriate behavior with clients” and “Sustainable use of nature and culture for tourism development”; development of a comprehensive study and presentation of the natural potentials for tourism development in the municipality of Kyustendil;
– presentation of the cultural and natural tourist potentials of the municipality of Konce;
– presentation of local tradition by local artists from both municipalities – musical performances and exhibitions;
– organization of forums on the topic “Partnership for Tourism Development” in both municipalities.
