The South-East Planning Region (SEPR) has many tourism potentials, with many tourism locations and possibilities for development of the economy through tourism. Gevgelija-Valandovo micro-region is part of the tourism offer of the potentials in the region. The main objective of this project is to develop the tourism potentials of Paljurci, located in the Municipality of Bogdanci.
Objectives of this project
- Creation of additional content and offers for the present conventional and casino tourists in the region and
prolongation of their stay (as ultimate objectives) - Arranging the area around the artificial lake Paljurci
- Enrichment of the tourism offer in the region and stimulating the development of rural areas
- Connecting and integrating the offer of rural, cultural-historical, mountain and sport recreation tourism
- Support the implementation of Programme for development of the South-East planning region
Results of the project
- Paljurci is promoted as one of the main tourism attractions in the region
- The area near the artificial lake is completely revitalised, cleaned,arranged and settled with urban equipment
- Better preconditions for longer stay of the tourists in the region are created
- Increased number of visitors in the rural area of the region
- Increased tourism offer in the SEPR
- Partnership between public and private sector, municipalities, NGOs and civil society is improved, especially regarding maintenance and sustainability of the results of this project
- Contribution is given to improve the economic situation and to the increase of the potential for future domestic and foregone investments
