Short description of the project
The project aims to support the establishment of an integrated approach in the cross-border area in the area of decentralized energy production from renewable sources and the introduction of energy efficiency solutions. The implementation of the project will stimulate local businesses and contribute to the optimization of total energy consumption and costs.
One of the main objectives is to improve awareness and increase the interest of the target group and stakeholders from the cross-border region for decentralized energy solutions and the exploitation of the potential of renewable energy sources and their main benefits: environmental; economic (reduced costs and energy independence); efficiency (quality of electricity and durability); resource conservation (using RES); safety and security. In this regard, the project promotes the concept, main technologies and benefits for individual residential buildings, commercial and public buildings.

Results
The project will be implemented through a work program that, among other things, provides for information and awareness-raising through the “Solar Roof” campaign consisting of 6 information and discussion workshops; Development of a “Solar Investment Guide” intended for three types of users – private households, SMEs and public institutions; Development of a Web portal “EnerGAIN” – an educational website with advice and educational films for improving online resources that will provide potential users with information and appropriate advice on modern solutions for an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly home, business or other public institution; Joint specialized trainings on RES for technicians and engineers – capacity building, exchange of experience and knowledge in the program for professionals and experts in the field of RES and EE; as well as E-learning through the “EnerGAIN” training program. All this contributes to improving the capacity for environmental protection and sustainable use of common natural resources.
