A main project was elaborated in 1978 and 1979 planning the construction of a dam “Konsko” with adjacent objects, which is to solve the problems of the micro-region. This project should produce a review of the already existing project and to adapt it to the current market values.
Objectives of this project
- Construction of “Konsko” dam with associated objects
- Improved living conditions for the population in municipalities Dojran, Gevgelija and Bogdanci
- Keep sufficient amount of drinking water for three municipalities
- Development of agriculture as one of the basic existing industries in the three municipalities
- Developing of tourism and enrich the tourist offer
- Improving the energy situation in the region
