On August 18, 2021 (Wednesday), the twenty-ninth (XXIX) Session of the Council for Development of the Southeast Planning Region was held, online through the virtual platform ZOOM.

The session was attended by the Mayors of the municipalities within the Southeast Planning Region and the director of the Center for Development of the Southeast Region, Julieta Gjurkova. At the session held, a Decision was made to determine the participation of members in the Administrative or Supervisory Body of the municipalities in the Joint Public Enterprise for Catching Stray Dogs “ASTRA-LUNA” – Strumica.

The Director of the Center for Development of the Southeast Region, Ms. Gjurkova informed the members of the council that the Joint Public Enterprise for Catching Stray Dogs “ASTRA-LUNA” – Strumica is registered and in accordance with the decision to establish an acting director veterinarian Ms. Suzana Stojkova, on behalf of the President of the region, the Mayor of the Municipality of Strumica Mr. Kosta Janevski. She explained that it is necessary to issue a Permit from the Food and Veterinary Agency, so that the hospital can start working.

These documents must be approved by the Board of Directors, which makes it necessary for its rapid formation. For that reason, the Municipal Councils were given a timely deadline to nominate members of the Management and Supervisory Boards, while the selection decision will be made by the Council for Development of the South-East Planning Region.
