The 5th session of the Council for the Development of the Southeast Planning Region was held

On March 31, 2026, at the premises of the Center for Development of the Southeast Planning Region in Strumica, the fifth session of the Council for Development of the Southeast Planning Region was held, starting at 2:00 p.m.

During the session, important documents relating to the work of the Center during 2025 were reviewed and adopted, including the annual report on the implementation of the development program, the final account, as well as the report on the conducted census. With their adoption, transparency and efficiency in operations were confirmed, as well as the commitment to sustainable and balanced regional development.

The Council emphasized the importance of continuous cooperation between the municipalities in the region and the Center, in order to further promote economic development and improve the living conditions of citizens.

IV session of the Development Council of the JIPR was held

The 4th session of the Council for the Development of the South_East Planning Region was held at the premises of the Center for the Development of the South-East Planning Region in Strumica, chaired by Mayor Petar Jankov.
The session reviewed and adopted several points of importance for the further development of the region, with special emphasis on the current open calls for financing projects of national interest.
The Council reviewed the Call for Financing Project Proposals for Reducing Disparities between and within the Planning Regions and Increasing Regional Competitiveness for 2026, published by the Ministry of Local Self-Government, with a total budget of 74,840,000 denars, intended for all eight development centers in the Republic of North Macedonia. After reviewing the priorities, the members of the Council unanimously made a decision to apply for a project for the procurement of a municipal vehicle for the municipality of Valandovo.
The call from the Bureau for Regional Development was also reviewed, with a total amount of 81,545,150 denars for financing projects in the planning regions. According to the Decision on the classification of planning regions according to the level of development for the period 2024–2028, approximately 10,200,000 denars have been provided for the Centre for Development of the Regional Development Agency. Within the framework of this call, a decision was made to apply for a project for the procurement of a utility vehicle for the municipality of Strumica, as well as a project for the construction of a road in the settlement of Staro Vladievci, to the church “Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary” in the municipality of Vasilevo.
All municipalities will participate with their own co-financing, which further confirms the joint commitment to the implementation of priority projects.
With the decisions made, the Council emphasized the need for a coordinated and strategic approach in the use of available financial resources, with the aim of improving infrastructure, improving utility services and ensuring balanced development of the entire South-Еast Planning Region.

III session of the Council for the Development of the South-East Planning Region was held

On 25.12.2025 (Thursday), starting at 14:00, in the premises of the Center for the Development of the South-East Planning Region, the III (third) session of the Council for the Development of the South-East Planning Region was held.

The session adopted the minutes of the previous session, and decisions were made related to the election of a member from the business community, the financial and action plan for 2026 of the Center, implementation of projects, disinfestation activities, as well as presentations of new technologies, the mZaednica digital platform and the CAAIVE and SEBCoVE projects.

At this session, the members of the Council were informed that the Local Action Group Belasica – Ogražden, Bosilovo, represented by Mr. Sašo Popovski, was elected as a member of the Council from among the associations, and Mr. Riste Skileski was nominated by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Macedonia, for whose election a Decision was made by the Council.

During the session, the members of the Council had the opportunity to learn about new methods and modern technologies related to wastewater treatment, mosquito spraying and deratization, as well as the digital platform mZaednica and the projects CAAIVE and SEBCoVE, aimed at the application of artificial intelligence and digitalization of public services.

The II (second) Session of the Council for Development of the SEPR was held

On 05.12.2025 (Friday), starting at 14:00, the Second Session of the Council for the Development of the Southeast Planning Region was held. Several points of importance for the advancement of development processes in the region were reviewed and adopted at the session.

The Council adopted the Minutes of the First Constitutive Session of the First Constitutive Session and made decisions on the handover of:

  • a facility – the building of the TPPE Radovish, as part of the project “Improving the energy efficiency of public buildings in the Southeast Region”;
  • a utility vehicle for the municipality of Bogdanci, part of the project “Improving utility services in the Southeast Planning Region through the procurement of vehicles for the municipality of Bogdanci”;

The Council also made decisions on the handover of auxiliary equipment of a total of 24 smart boards for the municipalities: Bosilovo, Novo Selo, Vasilevo and Bogdanci.

The Council gave its consent to conclude fixed-term employment contracts for project assistants on four regional projects: TAX4ALL, FIREDEFEND, GREEN FOR GOOD and HEART SAFE CBA.

Finally, a discussion was opened on starting preparations for the new tender procedure for disinfestation – mosquito protection treatments.

IV Session of the Council for Social Protection of the SEPR was held

At the scheduled session of the Council for Social Protection of the South-East Planning Region, which was held on December 24, 2024 at the premises of the Centre, a new president, Mr. Zlatko Ristov, Mayor of the Municipality of Konce, was elected for a one-year term.

In his address, the newly elected president, Mr. Ristov, sincerely thanked the members of the Council for the trust they had shown him, noting that he accepted the position with a sense of great responsibility and dedication. He emphasized his commitment to improving social protection and strengthening cohesion between municipalities in the region.

He also announced activities aimed at strengthening cooperation with local authorities, the non-governmental sector and international organizations, with the aim of implementing projects that will enable efficient handling of social challenges.

The members of the Council present welcomed his initiative and expressed their readiness to work together towards achieving the set goals.

XXX session of the Council for development of the SEPR was held

On 24.12.2024, the 30th Session of the Council for development of the South-East Planning Region was held at the premises of the Centre for Development of the South-East Planning Region.

At this session, the Financial Plan and the Action Plan of the Centre for 2025 were adopted. Decisions were also made on the handover of facilities to the municipalities of Strumica, Konce, Novo Selo and Dojran.

The XXIX Session of the Council for the Development of SEPR was held

On October 31, 2024, the XXIX Session of the Council for Development of the JIPR was held.

At this session, Decisions were made on consent for the application and implementation of a total of four proposed projects through the Interreg IPA Program for cross-border cooperation between Greece – the Republic of North Macedonia 2021-2027.

Decisions on the handover of three facilities were also made, which were implemented by CDSEPR, and financed by the Program of the Regional Development Bureau for 2023 with indicative funds for 2024. With these projects, regional primary school “Kiril and Metodij” in the village of Sekirnik – Bosilovo was reconstructed, a 280 km long road was built and equipment for a filter station was purchased, both in municipality Vasilevo.

In accordance with the obligations of the Center, positive opinions were also given for the signed Collective Agreement and for amending and supplementing the Salary Regulations.

A new president of the Council for Development of the SEPR, Mr. Gjorge Bozinov, mayor of the municipality of Novo Selo, was also elected.

The XXVIII Session of the Council for the Development of JIPR was held

XXVIII Session of the Council for the Development of SEPR was held on August 7, 2024. It was held online on the ZOOM platform.

With the required majority, a Consent Decision was passed for the application and implementation of a project proposal through a call Competitive Fund for Community-Based Fire Management Projects supported by the Swiss Embassy in the Republic of S.Macedonia.

The XXVII session of the Council for Development of the SEPR was held

On 01.07.2024, the president of the Council for development to the SEPR called an emergency meeting at which the ten municipalities from the South-East Planning Region in order to make a coordination for taking measures to protect and deal with fires in the South-East Planning Region. At this session, a conclusion was made by all mayors who send the requested for meeting in the shortest possible time with the Minister of Environment, as well as other relevant state institutions, in order to solve the problem with the landfill in the village of Dobrashinci.

Also at the session, a decision was made to consent to the application and implementation of a project through a call for submission of project proposals for the Preparation of technical documentation for infrastructure projects through the Technical Documentation Fund.

XXVI session of the Development Council of SEPR was held

On May 14, 2024, the XXVI session was held online on the ZOOM platform.

А decision was made for the delivery of a photovoltaic system installed at the sports hall and the school “Krste Petkov Misirkov” in Radovish, for which funds were provided through the Grant scheme. Аlso the mayors brought а decision to conclude an annex to the Employment Agreement for a fixed period of time.
