Memorandum of Cooperation Signed for a Safer Cross-Border Area

On 26 March 2026, the Centre for Development of the South-East Planning Region and the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the Heart Safe CBA project, funded under the Interreg VI-A IPA CBC Programme Greece – North Macedonia 2021–2027.

The Memorandum establishes cooperation in the implementation of training sessions for citizens and healthcare professionals in basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, bleeding control, and emergency medical assistance.

As part of the project, more than 1,200 participants will take part in BLS, B-CON, ILS, ALS and Train the Trainers courses, with certification provided by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).

The trainings will be delivered by professional trainers and project partners from the Republic of Greece, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and experience and further strengthening cross-border cooperation.
