Dojran Lake is one of the most important and most beautiful tourist destinations in the South-East planning region, so it needs to be nurtured and to invest in it for full exploitation of its potential.

For several decades, the ecological state of the Strumica river basin is under threat from pollution and increase of the consumption of water for agricultural and industrial development and urban centers. Unsustainable agricultural practices, including the growing use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides and inefficient irrigation methods have a negative effect on the quality and quantity of water.
The sector of creative industries has great opportunities for the entrepreneurial spirit and engagement in CB region. However, this sector is still insufficiently understood and developed, especially in the CB region. Although having high potential for further development, the firms are largely left alone and are lack of skills and marketing for their products. Unfortunately, many of these companies are closed during the first two years of their establishment because lack of support.
Within this project are envisaged joint activities of the five municipalities for construction of sidewalks in six rural settlements, as follows: v. Dabilje – Municipality of Strumica , v. Sekirnik – Municipality of Bosilovo, v. Novo Selo and v. Konjarevo – Municipality of Novo Selo, through which passes the main road A4 (M6) Strumica – Novo Selo – border crossing with Bulgaria, in Valandovo through which passes the road from first category P1105 and from Negorski Spa, touristic place near v. Negorci passes the regional road R1102 and joins the road A1
Improving and restoring the insulation of buildings, maintenance of energy systems in buildings, implementation of measures and technologies for energy efficiency, changing habits and proper rational energy consumption by consumers in buildings, will reduce energy costs and enable environmental protection.
Within the project a technical documentation will be prepared for 10 facilities (schools and kindergartens) in 10 Municipalities in the South-East planning region.
Within the project a Study for development of tourist locality Suvi Laki and technical documentation for construction of Adventure Park will be prepared. The construction of this park will allow enrichment of the tourist offer in this part of the region. The enrichment of the tourist offer will create conditions for a more dynamic development of tourism, will develop competitive advantages and encourage the development of services.
The aspiration towards competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy, which is capable of economic evelopment, creating more jobs and developing improved social cohesion, undoubtedly depends on the success of enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises – SMEs.Within this project a Regional Business Center will be formed that would allow improvement of the knowledge about the characteristics of entrepreneurship, increase of employment, improving of skills and business capacity of local producers, processors and traders.It will also create an opportunity to improve communication and cooperation between businesses, entrepreneurs, farmers, institutions and authorities related to the development of entrepreneurship among municipalities in the planning area, thus will affect the overall economic development in region.

The ecosystem of the Strumica river basin is vital to the lives of the people in the region it provides water for drinking and agriculture for 124.500 people and is a natural habitat for many plants and animals. Strumica river basin is particularly vulnerable ecosystem and it is under threat from climate change, agriculture which affects the level and quality of water, excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides and the use of water for irrigation.
The development of a region depends on several factors. One of the most important is the qualitative and quantitative level of construction of physical infrastructure. Every society aims at providing a higher and better living standard, which essentially means constant improvement of living conditions.
