The motorway road M-6 is passing through the center of the populated areas Bosilovo and Turnovo and leads to Novo Selo border crossing, R. Bulgaria and further to other countries. Therefore the frequency of this road is great and it is used for daily motion of heavy trucks, buses and cars for domestic and international transportation of goods and passengers.
This project will increase the knowledge of the population in the cross border region for renewable energy sources available in the region. It will also allow the residents of the region to better understand the possibilities of utilizing these energy sources and will have the opportunity to learn how to achieve greater energy efficiency.
Economic development is an area of paramount importance to the Region because of the unemployment rate issue that adversely affects the overall human well-being in the Region. Municipalities are faced with many challenges when it comes to local economic development, particularly in relation to job creation and provision of support for local businesses and investments.
Tourism is one of the main strategic goals in the Programme for development of the South-East Planning Region, which has many tourist locations and opportunities for development of the tourism. Many tourists, who visit the region, stop to rest at the artificial lake Paljurci, which is located near the Municipality of Bogdanci. The lake offers opportunities for recreation, there are conditions for picnics, mountain hiking, and also has historical significance. The area is named Paljurci after St. Paul, who came here to convey Christianity in Macedonia.
Localities “Oraovicа monastery – St. George” in the village Oraovica and “Konche monastery – St. Stefan” in the village Konche are built during 13-14 century. They have unique natural and cultural values, with a lot of history, legends, myths, religious traditions and events that have contributed over time these localities to become a place for traditional gathering of the people in this region and beyond. This project will enable urban and horticultural arrangement of these two sites, will allow improvement of the conditions for the sense of traditional in the people of this region and beyond, and are also expected to increase the tourist arrivals to these two monastic complexes of the citizens from the South-East and East planning regions, as well as other domestic and foreign tourists.

The road from the interchange near the greenhouses in v. Bansko – Municipality of Strumica to v. Monospitovo – Municipality of Bosilovo, extends at a length of 2.368,82 meters and is an unpaved road. Without modern road infrastructure, communication among the population, regional economic development, and easy access to the touristic, cultural-historical and natural rarities near this micro region are made difficult or impossible.
The municipalities work to build a system that provides better living standard of the citizens within the process of decentralization. They are to achieve this through introducing functional and efficient local administration, based on the principles for local democracy and sustainable development, as well as through rational resources usage and creation of possibilities for development for the future generations.
Well-developed industrial zones are one of the most important preconditions for development of a region. These zones should have well based infrastructure and signalization that is to increase the attractiveness of the zone in front of the potential domestic and foreign investors. The SE planning region has 18 functional industrial zones. In addition to this, 10 more are in urbanization procedures.
In a scope of the project, the partners will work on mitigation of carbon pollution and promotion of enviro-friendly and renewable energies that will support sustainability of ecosystem and protection of the cross-border natural environment.
This project will motivate municipal bodies in the cross-border region to do replication of this project and investment in new eco-friendly power-plants that promotes usage of renewable energies.
The project „Establishment of Cross-border Network among Municipal Experts on Projects and Programmes in the Cross-border Region PM – NET” has a clear cross-border character and creates initial contacts between municipal experts and facilitates the flow of information regarding the past, current and future projects of Municipalities.
